Command Replies

Command replies are used by the compliance for command rules. A command rule sends a command to a node, and then checks the reply of that command for compliance. These commands aren't sent at real-time, but they are collected in advance, during a node's nccm check. This way you can be sure that the command reply you're comparing against is about the same state that the latest nccm poll was in.

Dashboard

The compliance dashboard allows you a global overview of the compliance across your whole environment. The dashboard consists out of three sections.

The top two bars show you an overview of the ratios of compliance for your policies and nodes. The right green part represents all compliant nodes and policies, and the other sections the non-compliant ones by severity. You can see the actual percentages when you hover your mouse over the bars.

Licensed Nodes

Your netyce license contains a number of nodes that you will be able to use for compliance. When your actual amount of nodes exceeds this number, this form can be used to tweak which nodes you want to have activated.

The grid here contains all nodes in the NCCM. The colors correspond to their nccm status:

Policies

In this form you can create, test and manage compliance policies, rules and conditions. A policy is tested on a node, to return either compliant or non compliant. A policy contains various vendor type specific rules, each of these rules contains a string of conditions that together form a logic the rule tests at. Only if all rules for the node's vendor type are compliant, is the policy compliant for this node.

Schedules

Policy schedules allow you to check a policy for compliance on regular intervals. This can be once every few hours, days, specific days of the week or even the month.

At the main schedule page you will see the list of schedules that are currently in operation. A schedule with status 1 is active and enabled, a schedule with status 0 is inactive and disabled and will not be used when calculating a node's next schedule time. A schedule can be repeating, or non-repeating. A non-repeat…
